Project Manager

The firm Gary Earl Parsons, Architect is always interested in speaking with talented prospective employees. We are a small (4-5 people), award-winning firm located in Berkeley and specializing in residential architecture. The nature of the small firm means that all members of the firm work on all aspects of a project – from conception and schematic design to construction documents through construction observation, including client and contractor interaction and even clerical tasks.

The successful applicant will have some experience with wood framed construction, will be a good designer, may or may not have an architectural license (but likely will be on their way), will have a degree in Architecture, and will have familiarity with Mac-based programs. We use VectorWorks; experience with VW will be very helpful, but is not necessary.

The firm has a casual work environment, but professionalism is paramount. We believe in ecologically-conscious design, and strive to implement this in our workplace as well. There are times when a car is necessary for getting to meetings or dropping off drawings at the City or at a client’s house. Some of us ride bikes or walk to work on days when this isn’t required, and we maintain an office car-share account. The firm offers medical benefits and PTO.
